About the Author

Evelyn Klebert (1965-present) was born in the small town of Houma, Louisiana but did not find her true hometown of the soul until years later doing graduate work in English Literature and later marrying in the grand, enigmatic city of New Orleans. There she began to write and pursue a lifelong fascination for esoteric studies. She and her family relocated to Virginia for over a decade in the late 1990’s, living near the Appalachian mountains and later the Atlantic coast during which time she penned two paranormal novels, A Ghost of a Chance and An Uneasy Traveler.

After hurricane Katrina, Evelyn and her husband, a native of New Orleans, felt compelled to return to their former home and help in the revitalization effort. Over the last several years she has expanded into the field of esoteric poetry with Considerations and Explanations and has also completed a new collection of supernatural short stories The Left Palm as well as two news novel set entirely in the city of New Orleans entitled The Sanctuary of Echoes and Treading on Borrowed Time. Evelyn Klebert (1965 to present) is an author from the grand old city of New Orleans. She's written seventeen acclaimed books: nine paranormal novels, five collections of supernatural short stories, and two esoteric poetry collections. She is an avid reader and student of esoteric studies intent on examining the "big questions" in life as are her characters. One of her latest novels Treading on Borrowed Time is a love story set in New Orleans which explores the issue of past lives, karmic obligations, as well as other dimensional beings. Her latest book, Travels into the Breach: Accounts of a Reclusive Mystic, follows the exploits of a supernatural detective who specializes in psychic attacks.

    Another will written fantasy world 🌎 haunting horror ghost 👻 demon adventure thriller novel by Evelyn Kiebert (The Ghost Files book 2). Ellen and Monty are on vacation in New Orleans having dinner when an old friend of Monty shows up ☝. He tells them about hauntings at th military base near by. The minute they enter the base Ellen feels the hauntings and horror. They manage to kill the demon but Monty loses his friend. I would highly recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of fantasy haunting adventure novels. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2022 👒😢😯

    I had a lukewarm reception to the first Ghost Files Book, Ghost College. I liked the premise but I really wasn't into the characters too much. But being a fan of Rain and Nicholson I picked this one up to see where the series was headed. I'm glad I did because this one fleshes them both out a bit more, especially Ellen.

    This book is told from two perspectives. First person for Monty but then it shifts to third person for the more Ellen-heavy parts. At first I was a little confused as to what was going on. The first novel was told strictly in first person from Monty's perspective. Once I got into it however I liked the change. I found it a good way to get a better feel for Ellen and what she does. Considering that she's really the paranormal muscle in the series it made sense to get to know her from something other than Monty's perspective.

    As far as the story goes, it's already been explained in the book description so I won't go too heavily into that. But there is a twist in the theme of the book that goes beyond 'mere' ghosts that made this one really interesting.

    A short read but fun and entertaining. It's pretty self contained as it doesn't reference the first one too much but I would say go back and read Ghost College first and then this one in order to get the full experience.

    I admit I've never heard of nor have I read any of Evelyn Klebert before but after reading this I think I'll see what else she's written.

    Good fun with some creepy atmosphere and good down to earth character moments, or as close to 'down to earth' as a couple of paranormal ghost hunters can get ;)

    For some reason I was taken back to old Twilight Zone reruns. You are not exactly sure what to expect next. Great job of keeping me wanting more! This is one of the best books I've read in a good while.
