Wolf Moon (J.R. Rain's Vampire for Hire World Book 7) Kindle Edition
Kingsley Fulcrum is a werewolf and a lawyer.
As the on-again, off-again boyfriend of vampire detective Samantha Moon, he often takes on cases that tick her off. When his legal cases cross paths with her private investigations, sparks will fly...
Jolie Hart is a new vampire with a unique singing voice—and a case of amnesia. She hires Kingsley to protect her from her contract with a vampire who claims he’s the Devil.
Kingsley asks Samantha to go undercover to help prevent his client’s diabolical destiny. Meanwhile, Fang, a powerful vampire with a strong connection to Sam, falls for the rising rock star.
Two days before the full moon, when the four of them head to Las Vegas on a train for Jolie’s debut concert, an ancient supernatural creature meets them at their destination—and he’s none too pleased at being summoned by Kingsley.
Will Kingsley, Sam, Fang and their unexpected fearless leader be able to save the beautiful Jolie from a fate worse than undeath?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and a great addition to the series!!!
I have to say at first when I heard that another author was going to write a series within the Vampire for Hire series by JR rain, I was a little apprehensive. I absolutely LOVE that series and the main character Samantha Moon and I thought…hmmm…no one can write the characters like JR does. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong!!! Eve Paludan who I have read many books by in the past, wrote an awesome story from Kingsley Fulcrum’s POV perfectly! This was so awesome hearing Kingsley…that big…wolfy lawyer tell his view of a story in which he and Samantha have to try and save a client of his was absolutely brilliant! To delve into his thoughts and feelings about Sam gave a whole new outlook on their relationship. Ms. Paludan never varied from the true characters from the series but added a whole new insight on how Kingsley himself sees things and feels about his love for Samantha. Fang also comes along for the ride and also Sam’s sister who has secrets of her own that are reveled. So if you are a fan of the Vampire for Hire series and are on the fence about reading this spinoff of the series…DO NOT hesitate to buy it!!! You will love this addition to the series and if like me finish and want more!!! Thank you Eve for staying true to the characters that many of us love and writing such an exciting story about one of my favorite were wolves. This should definitely be added to everyone’s TBR list!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very, very good
The ending was excellent. Great. Gave it 4 instead of 5 bc the beginning was slow & it took Ms. P awhile to get her footing. Kingsley was too whiney. Not strong at all. Then she found the right spot to allow Kingsley & Samantha to be true to their characters. Liked the insight to Fang. The portal for Vegas was EXCELLENT. Good imagination. Really enjoyed the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wild
This was a very interesting story I'm the Samantha Moon series. It is told from the perspective of her werewolf boyfriend Kingsley. There is a plot to steal a particularly valuable soul and Kingsley has been hired to stop it.

5.0 out of 5 stars What happens in Vegas makes for a fun read!
Awesome read I have been a fan of J.R. Rain's characters and books for a while now so I was a bit nervous when I saw that he was opening the Vampire for Hire series to other authors. After all, Sam and her friends aren’t just any characters. I am a fan of Eve Paludan’s writing and since she did justice to Rand and Samantha in the Brotherhood of the Blade series, I thought I would take a chance with this book. Eve’s writing is seamless; she nailed the characters with the high level of writing that J.R is known for. She provides a bit of back story not seen before and brings a nice closure to character from the past (no spoilers here). This story has a bit of everything- vampires, werewolves and some strangers on a train to Vegas. And we all know that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas- unless of course, you read this story and, you never know who will show up in a leisure suit. Well done!

3.0 out of 5 stars Full of inconsistencies from original stories, along with other annoyances!
Not as disappointing as Crystal Moon, but still has some inconsistencies with regards to characters, like throughout this book, it includes in the story line that the supernatural folks can read each other's minds, but that's not always the case. Sam can't read Kingsley's mind in the true Samantha Moon series, but in this book, she can, as well as other folks that she normally can't. Sam also 'acts differently' in many of the scenes in this book than she would normally act in the same situations in the original series, including having sex with Kingsley on a train with people walking by. This book has Fang and Kingsley becoming best bro friends within practically minutes of meeting...there wasn't much story plot buildup with it, including Fang having sex with a gal in the front seat of a car while Kingsley was driving...uncouth and not something I'd see Fang doing. I'm finding myself not particularly fond of these spin-offs not written by J.R. very much, the only real thing I liked was the idea that surrounded the story. Hate that I spent 2.99 on it!
