Passions, Strengths & Self Esteem! The Extensive Guide- Surviving Primary School: A self esteem book for kids Kindle Edition
This happened in grade 5. All of us still looked and sounded like young kids when I, and only I, started to develop a ‘phenomenon’: I suddenly started to grow hairs on my arms and on my legs.
This was thick black hair that you couldn’t help noticing.
I had become hairy!
It was hot outside, and the regional sports competition was coming soon.
It sounded like great fun, but for me it was a nightmare.
Just the thought of our team sports kit (the shortest possible running short and a skimpy vest) made me feel sick.
I didn’t know what to do. How could I let everyone see my hairy body in those shorts, and in a sleeveless vest???"
Interested to read what happened next? There are no two ways about it – all of us at some time or other try to change what can’t be changed: if only I was taller, if only I was prettier and smarter…
Let me share the secret with you of how to have self confidence no matter how you look, no matter how smart you are and no matter how talented you may or may not be!
In this book you’ll learn: • How to identify where you are right now! • How to believe in yourself - from the inside! • How to identify the things you really enjoy and want! • How to identify what you’re good at! • How to start working towards making your dreams come true! In short – you’ll finally get it that you’re not only OK…you’re really something!!! This book for kids, parents & teachers… includes: • True life stories about growing up! • Tips, helpful rules, simple to do exercises! • Fun ‘test yourself’ questionnaires • A personal journal All of which will help you discover the secrets to self esteem and most important - how to survive primary school!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 August 2013My son is 8 and in the 3rd grade. He has a huge heart and gets his feeling hurt quite often. Passions, Strengths and Self Esteem has given me the tools to help boost his confidence and has helped him understand that just because you're not good at one thing does not mean you're not good at anything. I will definitely be purchasing other books by Dr. Orly Katz, this one has been a real eye opener and a life saver for my son.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Series! Our Second Book!
"Passion, Strengths and Self Esteem!" is the second book I've purchased in the "Surviving Primary School" series. I download the book and read it, then pass it on to my ten year old son who reads it. Having read it first, I am able to discuss the material with him as he reads. This particular book talks about self-esteem and your inner core. It teaches to find out who YOU are and how find your strong points. My favorite two chapters were about how to move out of your comfort zone and do things that might normally make you uncomfortable and how to cope with messing up. I think these two chapters will benefit my boy the most. I love the worksheets in the book, and can't wait until he starts reading it and filling them out. The first book's worksheets really helped me see inside of my son who I thought I already knew so well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for School Aged Kiddos!
This is a wonderful book that is a part of an amazing series! I have a pre-teen daughter. She was able to read this book, and understand and apply its techniques. We were also able to go through it together. It was a great tool to open the conversation door! My two favorite points were the ones that highlighted how to know what tour strong points are and the rule of self confidence. Also, I love that there are real stories throughout. It makes everything much more relatable! My daughter and I highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book has made a huge difference in our daughter's life!
My daughter has been in a charter school for the past five years and this year she transferred to a magnet school in our area. While she loves her magnet, this school is VERY different than her elementary school - it has four times as many kids and she doesn't know anyone there (no one from her old school is there). She has had a very hard time adjusting and has even faced some bullying from some of the older girls. While we have worked with the school to stop the bullying, we didn't know what to do to help her be more confident and make friends. We bought this book and read through it as a family (a bit every night after dinner). It has already made a huge difference! She finally felt confident enough to approach a girl in her magnet class and they are now friends! I will be purchasing the rest of the books in this series for her to read so she can keep making such great progress! This book has been an amazing find for our family! Thank you!
