His Ring Is Not Enough (Mills & Boon Modern) 1st Edition, Kindle Edition
After ‘I do’…
Ajax Kouros has a plan – and being jilted at the altar is not part of it. Especially when he’s facing a thousand guests and one hundred reporters. His company’s future depends on marrying a Holt, so when his bride’s sister steps up to the altar… can he say no? Leah Holt has grown up watching her beautiful socialite sister hang on Ajax’s arm. Now she has the chance to stand in the spotlight and save her family’s fortune.
But saying ‘I do’ is only the beginning, and Leah soon realises that the man she has married is far more complex and distracting than the boy of her childhood fantasies…

About the author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Maisey Yates lives in rural Oregon with her three children and her husband, whose chiseled jaw and arresting features continue to make her swoon. She feels the epic trek she takes several times a day from her office to her coffee maker is a true example of her pioneer spirit.
In 2009, at the age of twenty-three Maisey sold her first book. Since then it's been a whirlwind of sexy alpha males and happily ever afters, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Maisey divides her writing time between dark, passionate category romances set just about everywhere on earth and light sexy contemporary romances set practically in her back yard. She believes that she clearly has the best job in the world.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2014Leah and Ajax's story is fiesty and just how I like a story. I don't like wimpy heroines. I just want to give them a good shake. Not in this story though. Maisey Yates never lets us down.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2013A real turkey. Sounded promising from the back cover but the story was weak. A heroine that got on my nerves, a weak hero. Come on its almost as if the author gave up after page 2. It wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Surely Maisey you can do better then this. One book I really wished I hadn't wasted any money on. Avoid it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 September 2013I had already downloaded this book before reading the other Kindle review. I wish I had waited! I really disliked Ajax & Leah. He was just just downright nasty, cold, hard & horrid! I was appalled at the way he treated Leah straight after the wedding - what a jerk! I was astounded that Leah accepted his behaviour! Where was her self respect & backbone? Ajax kept going on about 'his plan' & needing to be in control - I just got bored! I didn't like the way Ajax 'dealt' with Leah's advances or after the first time they 'made love'. I know we are supposed to buy into the scenario of his terrible background & this 'accounts' for his attitude, but it didn't work. I read these types of books because I'm looking for hunky, loveable, alpha males who are sexy & heroines who are strong, feisty, sweet & endearing. This book's characters certainly didn't fit any of these descriptions. As the other reviewer has commented - avoid this book & save your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
I really loved this one. It's different from other novels of it's type. The hero and the heroine have a difficult journey to their HEA and it's hard won. There is a lot of introspection on the part of the hero as he goes through the process and several uncomfortable moments. However, that adds depth to the story. The emotions are real and relevant. That makes the HEA so much more rewarding. I admit there were times the hero just frustrated me but the heroine knows how to handle it. I couldn't put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars An unusual romance
.... for a Harlequin romance.
It starts with the old marriage-of-convenience hat, with the heroine already in love with the hero.
Or so she thinks, because, as the story progresses, she realizes that she doesn't know him at all.
He has a very dark past which actually stays dark - no miraculous plot twists here.
Kudos to Ms Yates for daring to write this novel and to Harlequin for publishing it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story
Beginning intrigued me. I thought there would be more banter and angst before they fell into bed. It was a good read. Innocent in love with guy who thinks they are friends and he is not good enough for anyone because of his tortured past. Want to know what's up with the sister.
