This is a very special take on the Daredevil saga. I will not go into the story but only say it is very well executed. If you are a Daredevil fan you should definitely by this book.

End of Days is billed as the final Daredevil story and comparisons have been made with the Batman story The Dark Knight Returns. A closer analogy would be with Citizen Kane and this is acknowledged within the story itself. The book opens with Daredevil dying in battle with the psychopath Bullseye and concerns journalist Ben Urich's investigation into Matt Murdock's dying words. Thus, Daredevil is mostly an offscreen presence as Brian Bendis explores the street level heroes and villains of the Marvel universe.
These "final" stories are increasingly common and can range in quality from the gloriously deranged Unforgiven pastiche of Mark Millar's Old Man Logan to the dreary Last Avengers Story. End of Days is one of the best in this crowded market. Set a few years from now the story revisits the highlights of Daredevil sagas past particularly Bendis' own successful run on the comic. Particular highlights include retired assassin Elektra as a lethal soccer mom and a cameo by a particularly grizzled Nick Fury. The final revelation of the meaning of Daredevil's last words is slightly unexpected but satisfying, although I'm unconvinced that it would have been enough to drive Bullseye to commit suicide.
Bendis is a writer who I have often felt to be over-exposed and somewhat self-satisfied but there is no denying that he has a strong feeling for Matt Murdock and his world and if this really was the last Daredevil story then there would be no better epitaph

An exceptional piece of storytelling from masters of their art.

Should be read by anyone who wants to appreciate what the comic book medium can actually achieve.

One of the very best stories I have read in a comic in many a year.

I am not a great fan of writer Bendis – I find he writes most characters as if they have one voice and use the same book of jokes. I do not find his plots engaging or original and generally believe his pacing to be glacially slow.
    No so this book!
This is classy bordering on the classic!
This ‘imaginary’ final Daredevil story while grounded in Klaus Jansen’s familiar pencils has a gritty noir tone to it due to the inking giving a cinematic/Tarrentino gloss.
There is a sprinkling of next-generation possibilities and whatever-happened-to cameos while the future-set plot is held together by journalist Ben Urich – who is depicted no older than current continuity and indeed J Jonah Jameson seems positively rejuvenated despite his implied age.
The significance of one word is an important thread through the tale and while the revelation is a tad disappointing the story is probably all the better for it.
This is a solid, quality, intriguing and satisfying series.
    Highly recommended.

A fantastic finish to my favourite marvel hero. Great writing and artwork to match. This series by Bendis was just incredible and i'm glad it was sent off with a good ending.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great perspective on Daredevil
Reviewed in the United States on 10 April 2016
I'm somewhat new to Daredevil comics (having been inspired to get into them from the Netflix show). Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this story. I found that, for an "end" story, it ironically gave a newer reader a great perspective on a lot of the important characters in DD's life. Really, the whole story is a long examination of the kind of person that Matt Murdock is and aspired to be.

For me, personally, I didn't love the artwork, but it worked well enough that it didn't detract from the book (and anyway I find it's kind of a personal opinion type thing).

Overall, I loved this and I recommend it to you

5.0 out of 5 stars Ein meisterhafter Comic - Roman: Daredevil am Ende aller Tage
Reviewed in Germany on 15 March 2016

, Leland Owlsley (alias The Owl), Zebediah Killgrave (alias Purple Man) und wieder Bullsey.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daredevil : End of Days
Reviewed in India on 20 February 2016
I know Born Again (Miller),Man Without Fear (Miller), Yellow (Loeb) and Guardian Devil (Smith) are all considered amazing...and they definitely are, but end of days takes everything you love about the essence of daredevil and puts it all on paper. While all the other awesome daredevil comics are about his adventures and his struggles, this is a proper story about the man without fear, with amazing gritty artwork and beautiful story telling. Some may find the ending to be a bit unsatisfying (only a bit) but for me it really worked, it's even better if you've read Bendis' work on daredevil (which to me was always on par and sometimes even better than Miller)

5.0 out of 5 stars Un chef d'oeuvre passé inaperçu...
Reviewed in France on 14 August 2014
