- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 June 2023Initially I had bought a few of the David Walliams books for my son as was recommended in the school read list. The David Williams books are exciting and engaging and never fails to impress with the brilliant content and illustrations. Subsequently, have bought most of the DW books for the kids and see them reading the books repeatedly, which has been a good diversion from being hooked onto gadgets. The books are certainly a good deal when bought at Amazon, good Vali for money and prompt delivery.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 August 2024Great for all lovers of David Walliams
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 March 2019We were all pleasantly surprised by this book. My 5 and 7 year old had David Walliams picture books and felt they were a tad sophisticated in their humour, but I feel he does this age group brilliantly! We laughed every single page and I couldn't put it down. (my daughter sneakily read ahead of us when we did). I was sceptical at first that the child character was such a brat and the parents were the nice ones (as Roald Dahl normally has nice children as the main character) but my kids loved it. There were jokes on every page. Jam packed! With lots of brilliant illustrations by the wonderful Tony Ross, and what a great story!
I have nothing bad to say about this book. It's not for those who dislike toilet humour, But apart from that I'd recommend it. Buy it quickly before it comes on TV so your kids can use their imaginations!

Excellent story, but had to get the first book replaced because all the pages fell out after one read. So far, the second book is holding up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bon histoire à lire avec son enfant
L'histoire est originale, comme toutes les histoires de David Walliams quoi.
Et de plus je le lis avec mon enfant ensemble, ça nous a permis d'améliorer nos niveaux d'anglais, une pierre deux coups!
