Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good historical fiction
This book reminds me of Gone with the Wind a bit, because of its setting. I really liked all the characters and how each one had their own unique personality and motivations in the story and how each had their own perspective on the Civil War and the Reconstruction. The ending though was just "OK" for me...I wish the author would have given a bit more details of the future of all characters.

2.0 out of 5 stars No. I'm not nostagic about this.
Meant for a different audience... Turgid prose it is.
