A True Story from a Parallel Universe: The Supernatural Detective (The Poe Detective Agency Book 1) Kindle Edition
Romeo Moon, shapeshifter (canine variety) and necromancer, is on a case. He hunts a mass-murdering former god who turns out to be family. Talk about disappointing. Then a Robber Baron associate of the mafia from Hell (literally) decides to have Romeo killed when he interferes with the baron's plans to conquer Romeo's home city. Romeo and his best-friend (half-zombie-reformed church- magician) and his girlfriend, a zombie villain (but with a good sense of humor), are all that stand between the baron's success and failure.
"Quirky," "Hilarious" "Delightfully random." "This is just a terrific book in every way. I loved the writing style and the sardonic humor. It's a great twist on history, magic and mystical tales." "Highly recommended."

About the author

I’ve published many novels, five with traditional publishers and the rest I've done independently. I write mostly comic horror, comic fantasy, comic supernatural. Are you sensing a pattern? Strangely, wondrous, satiric, witty, fun, quirky, and unusual stories are my favorite kinds of stories. I am passionate about them. Love to write them and love to read them or watch them or listen to them.
A lot of my main characters are adopted. Like them, I was adopted. I seem to write often about identity. Go figure. I live in Austin, Texas. I have no horses or cowboy hats. I do have a 120 pound sheep dog. I’ve taught college and worked a lot of different jobs and lived in a number of cities. I have a black belt in Taekwondo. Helps with my action scenes. I’m married. Helps with my relationship scenes. I love writing novels, but I will write most anything. My grocery lists are excellent.

1.0 out of 5 stars Concept was better
This sounded so cool and the idea was really interesting but the execution was poor. The writing was not great but the concept kept me reading until the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Detective and the villain
An interesting first book in the Poe Detective Agency series. The characters were interesting, loved Cerberus, and the interactions between the characters. A unique story.
