I am Michael Wendell Mosley. I was born and raised in the rural south. I have always been an avid reader. I was encouraged to read the King James bible and bible story books when I was a young child. And I liked to read children's books (Still do...there's no shame in that). I have always enjoyed reading the classics. I enjoy reading poetry and novels that were written years ago. Three of my favorite authors are William Faulkner, Robert Newton Peck, and John Steinbeck,
I have dabbled in writing poetry ever since I was a young child, though my early efforts have long ago been misplaced or discarded. I was encouraged to be a writer on more than one occasion by an English teacher while I was a student in her class in about the 10th grade. Her words of encouragement have stuck in my mind over the years. I took two classes in college that may or may not have helped me. Composition one, and Composition two. I am sure that those two classes did indeed help me a little toward being the writer that I have become, but I have a strong feeling that writing would have been a part of my life even without such classes. In my opinion, writing is something that a person has to get out of themselves somehow, and taking or not taking a class or classes is not going to deter a person from letting the words flow through their pencil, pen, typewriter, or computer keys. I have other interests as well. I have always created artwork with acrylic paints colorful magic markers, or pencils or pen and ink. I also enjoy taking scenic or nature photos with my DSLR camera. There is a lot of beauty in this old world, and I enjoy capturing that beauty with my camera. I am a very creative person, and I have always been that way. You might say that Creativity=Me.
