Most kids his age have imaginary friends so Maggie tries not to be concerned - that is, until Max confides in her his young friend is actually an adult who comes to play with him when his mommy is sleeping.

These three short stories were fun to read. Each one is very different from the other. On the surface, each story has a rather mundane premise. A mom trying to keep her family together. A young boy's imaginary friend. A woman selling her house after a divorce. The reality, however, is anything but mundane.

These stories are well written and paced. I enjoyed them so much that I downloaded her other work.

This is a fantastic short horror collection. The first story will leave you breathless. The next story will leave you terrified and lock your windows. The last story was just wicked.
There are no child murders in this book. The child might or might not have been murdered. We will never know.
The stories are the perfect length.
