Grandma vs. the Tornado (The Last Stop Retirement Community Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
THE GANG FROM THE LAST STOP RETIREMENT HOME IS BACK IN TWELVE HILARIOUS SHORT STORIES AND FOURTEEN NEW ISSUES OF THE LAST STOP BULLETIN!
It's been an eventful year at The Last Stop Retirement Home.
A sample of what you'll find inside:
FINDERS KEEPERS: Find out what happens when new resident, Benji Little, takes to the halls with his FX-458 Gold Digger X-treme Model 2 Metal Detector.
THE SENIOR GAMES: Who says you have to take it easy when you get older? Former Olympian, Byron Williams, puts together the first annual Senior Games, complete with hundred-yard dash and shoe kick. Byron is sure to make a clean sweep, but things don’t always work out the way they should.
WIDE LEFT: George Bevel looks to set the juggling world on fire by beating the previously held record of juggling four balls for two hours and forty-six minutes, securing his place in The Guiness Book of World Records.
UP IN FLAMES: Holidays at The Last Stop are always entertaining, but the Christmas Eve recital doesn't quite go as planned when everyone gets a little carried away during the singing of Silent Night.
THE HOLY MOSES FITNESS CHALLENGE: That revered canine is back, too, and he’s more lovable and judgmental than ever. He's also put on a few pounds. See what happens when the community comes together to help him on his quest for physical fitness.
Seven more inspirational, laugh-out-loud stories and fourteen new issues of The Last Stop Bulletin round out the fun!

Review
"Great, loved it, laughed throughout the book."
"This was a fun audio book and it made me feel as if I were sitting around the table listening to the older folks chatting. I found there were a few good pearls of wisdom inside this book as well."

- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2015I was so excited when I heard there was a second book out in the series. I loved "The Last Stop", and "Grandma vs. The Tornado" is just as good. I loved all the chapters but if I had to pick my favorite it would be "The Senior Games:" So funny! The author has a special talent for writing in a way that you came visual everything that's happening. A great, fun book to read.........I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to read a feel good, laugh out loud story that continues with new and hilarious stories. Can't wait for the next one to come out!!! I hope when I reach retirement home age, the facility is just like "The Last Stop Retirement Community! Maybe getting older isn't so bad. :)
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2019At the beginning, I was disappointed, and tried to rush through this book number two, because I hadn't read book one! After about a quarter of the chapters I started to enjoy the quips and characters. So now I will go to book one where I Should've started in the first place. It was nice to read something light and think the living environment was a desirable place to settle in.
