“Trust me,” he whispered. Zane slid his hands up to my face, holding my temples on either side.
What was he doing?
He moved his lips forward and kissed me gently in the middle of my forehead.
Zane never pulled his lips away from my forehead. He remained just like that, and I began to feel lightheaded.
And then I could hear Kinsley, but she sounded so far away, like she was at the other end of a cave. “What are you doing?!”

    This book had everything. Amazing world building, adventure, epic battles, and true love. The love that builds between the two main characters makes it one of the best love stories I have read in a long time. However if you are looking for steamy romance this is not it. There is not a lot of relationship drama. This is as story of two people who fall in love in the middle of war and how that love survives and grows despite all that happens. Honestly the only piece I didn’t like is there are only 2 books out. I need to know what’s next for book 3.

    Amelia (main) character grows up poor in a small community with an abusive father. She has figured out how to survive. She comes across an injured dragon, saves its life, and moves on with hers once it leaves. A mysterious stranger Zane comes into her life and try’s to convince her he is that dragon. She is forced to flee her town with Zane’s help looking for family to start over her life. Epic love story begins…Zane is an amazing hero. He just wants to help the girl who saved him. Zane has his own issues caught in a civil war. His own family is split both sides. Amelia brings him happiness and laughter which he desperately needs. Zane gives her stability and acceptance which she has never had. Both will do whatever it takes to hold on to it. The second novel explores what happens when you lose everything you always dreamed of even though it’s right in front of you. All of this is surrounded by exciting adventures, battles, friendship, and heartbreak.
