I love an excellent mystery that causes me to keep turning pages. This novel is about a murdered wife whose husband is painted as the killer. The military investigator does not believe the husband killed his wife even though he was covered in her blood. What takes the cake is that the actual killer manages to put the crosshairs on the investigator's back for another crime as a way to get her off the case. Under most circumstances, this would work. Twists and turns till the case is solved. Enjoy an excellent read.

The prologue is written from the point of view of the murderer so get a glimpse into his deranged mind. The plot itself is well worthy of a read but I found there was a fair bit of repetition which made it frustrating at times. Liked the ending.
