I just finished Anna Gabriel's "Chaos to Calm" and let me tell you, it's a life saver. If you've ever felt like you're in over your head dealing with people who bring the drama 24/7, this book is for you.

She lays out everything in a super relatable way, giving practical tips that you can start using right away. And the best part? It's all about keeping your cool and sanity in check while you navigate the drama around you.

What I absolutely love is how the book doesn't just tell you what to do, it actually shows you how to do it. We've all got that one person in our lives (or maybe a few!) who can turn a molehill into a mountain, right? Well, Anna gives you the tools to handle these situations without losing your mind.

    It's a quick, enjoyable read that's jam-packed with wisdom.

I found the information to provide clarification with not only teenagers but I too have a drama queen husband. I really like the chapter on defining specific drama queen. The most helpful from the book is recognizing and de-escalating the situation and insight on how to communicate better. We dall have a drama queen that we love dearly, and I recommend this book.

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 28, 2024
The book introduces the reader to the characteristics of an attention-seeking personality. Examples are drawn from film and stage but with the observation that such characters are seen as amusing or eccentric and not shown to be the harmful people they can be to all those they touch. This is explored in more depth showing how this personality type can cause harm to personal, social, and work relationships. The author illustrates the differing traits of a "drama queen". Whether in the work context or through personal relationships, the discussion looks at differing coping strategies in the immediate setting and for creating longer-term personal awareness and emotional strength. Boundary setting, improved communication skills, and personal calming and mindfulness techniques are reviewed making this book a key reference.
For all who have encountered chaos at home, or experienced chaos at work due to the office "drama queen", this book is for you.
