    His healthy recipes are very appealing. Good focus on healthy habits with enough leniency to occasionally enjoy bad foods. Pleasant, relaxing writing style. Encourages healthy changes without an in-your-face, worrisome, end-of-the-world-if-you-don't-follow-my-advice attitude. That's not to say it isn't serious. He tells his experience of facing and overcoming obesity, and encourages readers to eat healthy.

    This book will educate you to the foods and nutrients you may be missing in your current diet. Smith gives enough info to help someone struggling to understand diabetic needs and pitfalls. I wish my husband would read his introductory chapters and learn what he tells about eating right!

    I have often wondered about how he was able to work so much and take the weight off. He talks about his journey and intersperses the story with some of his delicious recipes. My only complaint if there is one is that sometimes he repeats himself.

    It’s an ok book; interesting to read. I have yet to find a knock your socks off recipe. I would use the salmon recipe again but with a different sauce. Somewhat disappointing.

    While this book has some interesting recipes, it's main appeal is motivation. To eat right, lose weight and get healthy is the main drive of this book. In Art Smith's enthusiastic and charmingly funny way, he tells the story of his weight loss journey and encourages others to do the same with a truly human perspective.

    This cookbook tells a story as well as sharing delicious recipes. It really has easy, healthy comfort food. I understand how Chef Smith lost 100 lbs. You don't feel like your missing out on anything when you make these dishes.

    I have purchased all the other Art Smith books and loved. His new healthy recipes are just awful and book is general is not up to Art's past standards, including the paper for this book.

    This book will make you happy, which is the first step to be really healthy. The beautiful and generous personality of Chef Art Smith shines throughout the book. His warmth is invasive, and will remain with you long after you read this book.This book should be required reading for those who need help with their health.

    I have been a fan of Art Smith for several years. This book is filled with amazing recipes that are both delicious and tasty! There are not strange ingredients either. Have tried many dishes and have not been disappointed!
