    My Review:
5-stars! This was an exciting and fast-paced cozy mystery! Adrielle and Lorea are trying so hard to get their businesses going well. They have two big weddings to handle on the books. One has to stay a secret and one looks to be a huge blow-out with the worst Bridezilla of them all. Everything depends on these weddings going off well or their businesses are going down the drain. Financially, it all hinges on the designer wedding gowns they got on the cheap!

The gowns are gorgeous, but then several gowns disappear, including Bridezilla's gown! Adrielle's best friend is murdered. Diamonds are missing. And Adri is hiding a gown under a quilt. One thing after another. Try to keep up! Highly recommended for readers who like the crazy pace and zany goings-on of the cozy mystery.

I had one small beef with this book. Adri had a neighbor who was mentioned in passing named Lily Rowan. That is the name of a major character from Rex Stout's Nero Wolf series of mysteries. It bothered me that Ms. Christensen used the name. It was just sort of thrown in there, too.

This was a BookBub acquisition. My honest review is offered without compensation of any kind. All opinions are fully my own.

Adrielle Pyper's Dream Weddings, Where happily ever after is your destination.

Every bride dreams and wishes for that magical, happy ever after wedding and marriage. Adrielle Pyper has dreamed about creating those magical weddings for couples in love. She has worked her way through school and has become a Wedding Planner extraordinaire. She has landed two of the biggest wedding gigs that can really put her new business on the map. Now all she has to do is make sure everything goes off without a hitch and ta dah, she's golden and on her way to many more happy customers.

    Cue ominous music...duh duh duh.

Mystery, intrigue, scandalous stories, missing wedding dresses, a crazy diva, a divorce lawyer, a shy possible boyfriend, "the hottie" runner, diamond rings, stolen safes, a cemetery, photographs, a kitten, police officers, crafty ideas, stress, kissing, wedding coordinator extraordinaire, amazing seamstress/business partner, nightmares, cold case, family, friends, fried pickles and oh so much more is contained within these pages.

The title is Perfect for this book. I love all the meanings behind it. You'll have to read to understand because no spoilers from me ;-)

Adri is not one to take no for an answer, especially when someone decides to come in and mess with her hard work and business. When merchandise ends up missing and she finds some strange goings ons around her, as well as some pretty strange items in a dress, Adri isn't going to let any of it affect her two major weddings about to occur. Can she give the police just enough info to keep them satisfied, get back her possessions, and figure out what all these clues combined together mean. Why do these recurring nightmares keep happening? Are they connected or is she still suffering from the trauma that occurred a year ago. How does she handle all these new men in her life? Can she trust anybody in her town, what about in her acquaintances?

I loved all the fun wedding aspects of this book, all the fun crafty/wedding craft tips, all the clues looming for us to see, yet not see. Oh I was all over the place trying to figure out the mystery. I was sure it was one person then would say no way could it be that person, it's this person...nope, it's that person. Oh I seriously kept coming up with all kinds of ideas of what was happening and who was involved and how it would all turn our. Yes I was right about who it was(only because I switched who I suspected lots-lol).

I will say that at the beginning I was a little confused with some of the references Adri would make about something, but I didn't know or understand what that something was. If you're like me be patient because it is all slowly revealed and part of the plot. I enjoy a good mystery, especially one that has me guessing constantly who the bad guy is. If you're also looking for a little romance and spice to go with the mystery, there was plenty of that with several prospects that Adri was trying to figure out.

This is part of a series with books 2 and 3 already released. I'm not sure if there will be more books or not. I will say I have already started the second book and am hooked on this series. It's been a fun diverting read.

Content: kissing, a murder, attempted murder and an attack. I'd say it's a clean read and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good murder/mystery series.

    Happy Reading!!!

Adrielle Pyper is a wedding planner extraordinaire. It's all she's ever wanted to do and she's great at it. She has her own business, Adrielle Pyper's Dream Weddings, and she and her mom have a website, (mashedpotatoesandcrafts) where they post wedding planning ideas and her mom's craft how-to's. She's just expanded her business to include wedding dresses, but when the first shipment comes in one of the dresses is missing and another is damaged. An unexpected surprise turns up in one of the dresses, then the store is broken into and several of the new wedding dresses are stolen, along with the office's floor safe! What is going on?! Adri's got two celebrity weddings coming up in just a couple of months--she doesn't have time to be sidelined (or sidetracked) by all of the weird things that are happening.
I don't see how Adrielle held it together--between the strange things going on with the wedding dress shipment, the store being burglarized, threatening notes, a diva/bridezilla on the rampage, trying to figure out what's going on, she still had to plan two important weddings, and she's trying to figure out which guy she's really attracted to.
I changed my mind several times on who the guilty person was. Not to spoil anything, but some of the things that happened aren't related to the others. Hmm. I was totally surprised by the ending and how it connected to why she moved to Sun Valley, Idaho. I love that she adopted the stray kitten and how he ends up saving her and helping to catch the guilty party. The wedding and craft ideas at the beginning of each chapter are fun and I saved some of them.
Rachelle Christensen does a great job keeping the suspense going throughout the book and keeping you guessing who did it. I look forward to reading the other 2 books in this series.

This was a delightful, funny, who done it book with some romance all wrapped up in one. That means it fits all the things I love in a book. This is the first book I’ve read from author Rachelle Christensen and I look forward to more. She does a great job of developing all the character’s with very different personalities. It kept me wanting to continue reading it and never put it down. II also enjoyed the different craft and food ideas before each chapter

The story is about Adri Pyper who is a wedding planner. Her best friend was murder so Adri moved closer to home and started her own wedding planning business. She ends up having two rich and famous clients but then the mystery starts. She finds diamonds, dresses are stolen and it seems someone is after Adri. That’s all I’m saying to want you to read it and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Adrielle Pyper, wedding planner in a resort town in Idaho, together with her friend Laurea, lands two celebrity brides, which mighht be the making of her new little shop. When some specialty wedding dresses are stolen and vandalised, her dreams seem to shatter. When she finds something in the hem of one of the dresses still in the shop, something that other not so nice people also want, she has to keep a clear ahead not to be the next victim. The two men drawing her attraction, one shy and nice, the other outspoken and occasionally rude, don't really help keeping her out of danger.
First, this was a very well written story, with a bit of every story element a reader could wish for covered: likeable characters, a good plot, humour, suspense, and a bit of romance. However, some of the events, or Adrielle's reactions, seemed a bit far-fetched to me, not "rolling-my-eyes" far-fetched, but still enough to interrupt the flow of the story for me. Cannot think of an example to give without spoiling the story, sorry.
On the whole though, a very likeable story, with a good plot, quirky and likeable protagonists, and enough tension and suspension to want to finish the story. A great mix of mystery and romance, and a good start to the series.

I ended up reading (and thoroughly enjoying) Veils and Vengeance, the second book in the Wedding Planner Mysteries series, first. Ever since then I’ve been looking forward to finding out how it all began. I was not disappointed and I can highly recommend both these books now.

The mystery is intriguing and had me guessing right until the end. Having read the second book I did have one or two suspicions, but they wouldn’t be there for anyone reading this book first. Adri is a great and believable character, and I loved getting to know Lorea as well. Who wouldn’t want to have a best friend like her?

One of my favourite things about this series is that each chapter starts with either a craft or recipe idea. I’m not a crafty person or a gourmet cook, but I loved reading all these ideas. The best thing about them is that they can actually be found out there on the real live internet, on a blog maintained by “Adri and her mum”. I’ve seen books with recipe ideas in before, but the fact that the ones here actually have a real website attached to them really makes Ms Christensen stand out from the crowd. Another thing that makes this book stand out is that it’s typo-free – sadly a rarity these days.

I highly recommend Diamond Rings are Deadly Things and am now looking forward to reading more about Adri and her sleuthing skills.

Diamond Rings are Deadly Things is a well written romantic suspense.
It has wonderful characters and a good plot although it is a little confusing to begin with. If you stay with it everything becomes clear as the book progresses.
There is also a little romance and some humour alongside the mystery and suspense which gives the book some balance and depth.
This is the first book in a series of three but each book can be read as a stand-alone too. I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

This story started a bit slowly for me but then, about halfway through, it picked up the pace and I really got into it. I was suspicious of who I thought was guilty early on and I was right this time. Having said that, I couldn't have guessed the motivation. I like how the author sets up the next book with a little teaser but it doesn't end on a cliffhanger so the reader has the choice of reading the next book in the series- or not. Each book can be read alone or as part of a three-part series. I had started reading these books out of order and quickly realized my mistake so I stopped and began reading again in order. I would highly recommend doing so as it made more sense as I read. I would have liked to read Briette's story before reading this book but I enjoyed this novella very much. This is the first clean mystery/suspense romance in a three-book series. I look forward to reading the next two books and seeing if my suspicions about who Adri will ultimately end up with are true or not. I give this book a 4.5 star rating.
