EYE FOR REVENGE. Quinn and Evie closer than sister, now Evie is dead and for Quinn her marriage to Mason was dead. A brutal murder who wanted her dead, a time for revenge, Quinn wanted that and answers. Jacob, the 4 year old son, unable to talk, did he see anything, he wouldn’t really know. Good plot with old friends, friction between sisters, old love’s. Would Quinn find the answer of why her friend was murdered. I liked how the plot flowed, and the tension building to the end. Readers won’t be disappointed.

4.5 Stars, Excellent mystery romance. This story has multiple twists and emotions throughout. The various deaths do make it somewhat depressing. Believable characters, informative and enjoyable dialogue. Easy to follow storyline.

I would have given this story 5 Stars but for disappointing statements on mobile homes and completely avoidable child drowning.

Great quote:
"Adhere to your purpose and you will soon feel as well as you ever did. On the contrary, if you falter, and give up, you will lose the power of keeping any resolution, and will regret it all your life." -Abraham Lincoln

Insulting paragraph:
"She’d never cared much for trailers no matter how grand the illusion of a house-like façade. Mobile. Modular. Manufactured. A trailer was still a trailer. Prefabricated housing with a permanent chassis under its skirt. How anyone made a conscious choice to live in a manufactured dwelling, when they could save their pennies and spring for a house, eluded her. Squeeze two sides together and voila—the birth of a double-wide. Or piece together a third and make it a triple."

Insulting statement on mobile home ownership. Many people choose to buy land, place a mobile home on it and build a home around it. You do what you can with what you can afford.

Great description on relationships:
"Bo couldn’t tear his eyes from her, unable to shake the feeling he was with a completely different woman tonight. And then it hit him. Maybe the newness of the relationship, all those fluttering flips of the stomach like a car taking an abrupt dip in the road, were starting to wear off."

Quinn describes the death of her baby Isaiah and the incompetence of her in-laws. Why did the in-laws refuse to put a child-proof fence around the pool? No word on if the in-laws kept the pool available for swimming.

“It was an accident. He was staying the weekend at Marcus’s parents’ house. Playing in the backyard. He tripped, fell into the pool. No one was watching, and, when they finally noticed he was missing, it was too late. He drowned.”

I will re-read this story and always look forward to new works by this author.

This has a lot of twists and turns, the killer is a surprised, I never got it worked out until the author gives you the person, I thought I had it a few times only to find out I was wrong. This is an author that knows how to keep your attention giving you a listen you don't want to put down with wonderful characters and a few you won't care to much for. The grandmother is something else, she is s spitfire that really adds to the story. My heart broken for the little boy. There are a few chills and a few shocks that keep you on your toes. I found this highly entertaining and will be buying more from this author.

The narrator did a good job, there are two places she repeats words, but be sides that she does a great job. There are no volume changes, no background noise, the characters voices are good as well as the emotions she makes you feel. I always knew who was talking and what they were feeling. She makes you dislike the ones the author wants you to, and like the ones that you are suppose to as well as a twists that has you reeling not knowing what to feel but in the end you will end up liking this person.

Quinn thinks her life is in shambles and has reached rock bottom. Far fetched and destiny has another hard blow for her in store: Her best friend is killed. Devastated she travels to her hometown to find out what happened. The present meets the past – and in the past Quinn meets again the only man she ever truly loved. Do they have a chance to re-connect?

Initially let me say that I didn’t read this book in one go and maybe that’s the reason I couldn’t catch the atmosphere of the book. Maybe I was just very restless when I read the book and therefore I’m so wary when it comes to comment on  the general atmosphere of the book. I’m sure, it’s my fault and I’m sorry that I can’t put my finger on this – it’s just a gut feeling.  The fact that the author attempted to offer depth to the plot by quickly but superficially deal with various issues, just added to this “restlessness”. Moreover so as I felt that these points were just thrown into the plot but remained unelaborated and finally led to loose ends. Unfortunately I can’t go into details regarding this without giving away any content but this “hectic” just added even more to my above mentioned feelings.

The romance part of the book was better structured and the reader was given the total package. However, I belong to the reader who wants “the whole deal” and therefore I felt that this book wasn’t as rewarding as other suspense romances I read in the past….

Appologizing for being so franc and I hope I didn’t sadden anybody.
