Loved this novel. I liked that the spy was a woman this time, as it gave a fresh perspective. Longtime fan of Gina Robinson and her Agent Ex novels! The one part of this book was the ending jumped around with so many secondary characters, it was hard to keep everyone straight while reading it.

I have enjoyed every book in this series and found this one enjoyable because it does what Gina Robinson is great at throwing the unexpected into the spy game. There are so many great spy stories but this series always brings two people with nothing in common together and shows how much fun they can have even while fighting off the bad guys. I found the magic a great twist to the story and kept wondering what was coming next.

Magic is in the air! This is a delightfully quick and fun read- great for a relaxing night in during this busy holiday season. Rock Powers is a fabulously famous Vegas magician that brings a combination of David Copperfield and Criss Angel to my mind (probably because that’s the only two magician’s that I know). I picture Rock as flashy and edgy as Angel, with the added class of Copperfield. His devotion to finding Lani after her disappearance is heartrending and you can’t help but hope he is able to win the wager he suggests after she is reintroduced into his life.

Lani is a kick-butt undercover agent that tries unsuccessfully to convince both Rock and herself that their feelings are anything but true. Their chemistry is “magical” both on and off the stage (pardon the pun). Their new undercover assignment adds an extra level of intensity to the situation and keeps you on your toes, wanting even more. I have not read any other Agent Ex novels, but if this is any indication of the author’s skill, then I would love to find them!

This book from Gina Robinson wasn't as good as some of her other ones. I have read most of her "Agent" novels and have liked them, they are an easy read that takes you away from reality. This book became a little more complicated than it needed to, I feel. Overall it was bad and certainly took my mind of reality for a little while.

The author Gina Robinson does a great job of making the reader feel as if they are right there with the character at every step of the journey. I found the main characters to be absolutely adorable and found myself rooting for them throughout the book. It was obvious that they were still crazy for each other and I think having to work a case together was the chance for them to really get to know each other. If you like comedy and some drama mixed in with lots of action in a story, then you'll really like this book.
The writing is very easy to follow and the scenes with Rock and Lani are quirky and very amusing, including the ones with Ty and the others. So if you are looking for a fun, light hearted read, this is the book for you. She delivers just what you expect, a fun book to read. If you love the cover, chances are, you will love the book.
