Pamela Martin is a nutrition, fitness, and motivational coach who helps her clients find and become the best version of themselves. She has a passion for helping people and can relate to her clients as she had to struggle with her own weight and body image issues from a young age. Through hard work, faith, and pure determination, she was finally able to lose the weight and become a happier, healthier version of herself. Over the years, she has developed a program to not only help you lose weight, feel great, and get healthy, but one that helps you begin to love yourself for who you are and who you are becoming. Through life's trials and the inconceivable grief of losing her son, she has learned that you can still find a way to love the girl in the mirror.

Pamela's dream of being a published author started in high school when she began writing poetry and short stories. Growing up in rural Missouri on a cattle farm was a great place to feed her imagination and she would write about her farm experiences.

In 2017 she began putting her personal wellness journey into words in the hopes that she could help others by sharing her story. After talking with so many women who struggle with body image and weight wellness she felt the pull to reach a broader audience and began writing, “The Girl in the Mirror”. Her story tells how she struggled from childhood into an adult with self image, confidence and self belief and the steps she took be finally break free and find lasting success. Finding nutrition, fitness and positive mindset to be the ticket to that freedom.

Part of her story includes the tragic loss of he 28 year old son, Paul, who suddenly passed away leaving a young family behind him. She shares some of that grief experience in the book as it pertains to her wellness journey. In 2018 she finished this debut book with a release in July.

Giving hope to women across the globe who wonder if they can succeed with their goals of a healthy life or withstand the pain tremendous loss brings is her ultimate goal for her debut book. She motivates and encourages women across the country to pursue their dreams with confidence.

Super quick read with a great journaling option too! I've actually read it 3 times already and picked up different things each time. The author makes her story completely relatable for anyone who has struggled with weight, daily challenges, or experienced the loss of a loved one. The way she explained her emotions really helped me deal with my own baggage. This would be a perfect book for a book club, for a gift for someone you love, and for any woman just doing life. Excited to start my 28 day journal challenge! You will love this book and it will help you! Order more than one copy because you will know someone who needs to read it too....

I read a borrowed copy and was able to relate to Pam’s story. We all have some issues with self-image, whether we recognize them or not and Pam’s path to self awareness would be a good road map for anyone to follow. I especially appreciated her honesty in dealing with grief.

I loved the truth shared in this book. It kept my interest. Loved the pictures and the motivation to set goals and be an achiever even though she was still grieving her son’s sudden death.
