Family Secrets

The Brimstone Grand Hotel, owned by reclusive former movie star, Delilah Devine, looms high on Hospital Hill, harboring long-buried family secrets that whisper of unimaginable horrors. Horrors that will echo down through generations.

Twisted History

When Delilah’s granddaughter, Holly Tremayne, who has seen ghosts for most of her eleven years, first comes to live in the Brimstone Grand in the summer of 1968, she’s delighted by its majestic western beauty -- and its chilling history. But as she settles in, making friends and enemies alike, the nightmares begin.

Terror in the Night

Within the walls of the Brimstone Grand, the past has come back to life, and Holly and Delilah are faced with an ancient familial evil that rages just below the old hotel’s serene facade. An evil that won’t rest until it possesses Holly -- body, mind, and soul.

I started writing at an early age, mostly science fiction, but when I was 11 I found Shirley Jackson's Haunting of Hill House and the course was set. Nowadays, my haunting research for novels has brought me another career -- investigating for people with problems. Life imitates art.

I cannot express how much I enjoyed reading this book! This isn't the first novel by Tamara Thorne that I've read, but this might well be my favorite - so far.

All of the characters were really well developed, but two of them really stood out to me - the main character, and one of the villains. The villain I'm speaking of may well be the most despicable character that I have ever run across in a book. The author did a superb job with him!

I highly recommend reading "Brimstone"!

This book is very well written. And the heart of the story is about a preteen named Holly. I loved reading about her friends, and family, who loved her very much. And about how they helped her save the town of Brimstone. However not everything and everyone, are good. One in particularly made my stomach clench.

Great read, characters are a bit one dimensional, but it doesn't kill the mood. I will be getting more from this author, if the other ones are half as delightful I will be pleased. Grab this one, it's a fun romp through an old hotel!

I fell in love with Tamara Thorne's work the first time I stumbled upon it in a Books-a-Million in the early 90's. I bought every book by her that they had over a few weeks and waited for more. I was hooked.
BRIMSTONE is a throwback to the tone and style of the works that first captured my interest. An appealing protagonist and likeable secondary characters (except for those we are intended not to like!) and a believable beast against whom our heroes battle.
She also includes a very human enemy in the icky bellman, Arthur. Tamara Thorne crafts these aberrant men with such skill that I often look askance at probably innocent men just because they gave me a creepy shiver.
I wanted to read this book so badly that I couldn't wait for it to come out in Kindle so now I have a new TT book for my Thorne bookshelf.
I enjoy the growth in Thorne's work, enjoy the collaborations with Alistair Cross but there's nothing like an old style creepy Tamara book to make a summer day that much better.

I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. I love ghost stories and this book was full of them. It was a book about justice and love. Both need to prevail and find there wway.

This book allowed me to regain my strength. I binge read for hours! Tamar never disappoints. I now want to go to a haunted hotel!😁

This was not a good book. Poorly written & characters terrible. Waste of time & money

Loved the names...found the conversations stilted and no action. This was the second book I've read. Time to call it quits.
