I usually write about women who have families, jobs and busy lives, sprinkled with the adventure of a trip abroad, a new opportunity, or a big event to get the drama flowing.

My six Personal Shopper novels all star loveable comedy heroine, Annie Valentine. Four children, a second husband, a career in fashion, Annie's life is full of opportunities for adventure, comedy and fun. And yes, as someone who started reading Vogue at an early age, I love writing the fashion tips and updates.

This is a great book! Well constructed characters that draw you into their lives. The book has a way of making the role of women clear and strong without the 'pedantic ism' or male denigration of the "sisterhood ". Its greatest thing is it's power to pull you back to its pages to consider another aspect of Tess, River, David or one of the other characters after the book is done.
Finally as a person living with depression, kudos to Ms Reid for bringing such an accurate description of the onset and effects of the disease to us all. Valuable information. Thank you.
