- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2022Out of all three of his works, Patrick Ashe just keeps getting better. This book is the best piece of literature I've read in over a year. Patrick's writing style flows easily and he's created characters I deeply care about. I appreciate the inclusion of a trans woman of color as the heroine. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. There were moments of humor and moments that brought me to tears. Definitely a must read!!!!!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2023I really love the intersection of modern problems (like Covid 19 conspiracy reactions) with the classic zombie feeling. This book expands on new areas of the zombie experience in neat ways, and is a very satisfying fast paced read. The style moves you forward smoothly and ties in neatly. There may be a few points along the way where you question “does ___ point really work?” but by the end you’ve been reassured and the world feels complete. Great story, looking forward to the next one.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2022I picked this up for my October book and was happy with the choice. The story was entertaining complete with compelling characters, a well-paced plot and plenty of action. Overall, it's a fun read. I stayed up way too late reading and am going to bed now.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2021I really, really enjoyed this book. The characters are likable, the subject timely, and the story line engrossing. It’s smart and believable; although I usually roll my eyes at stories involving zombies, somehow the author incorporated them without them seeming ridiculous. And I laughed out loud on page 46. Plus, I can’t help but love how a cat is one of the heroes of the story.
