4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 108 ratings

All his pride, undone by the scent of her heat.

Pride demands he take his position in the Royal Guard and uphold the family name.

He should not even be thinking about the little human.

But her scent calls to him. She is everything he craves: soft, generous, giving.

He can never take her,

Never bite her,

Never claim her.

But the more he learns about her, the more he’s convinced she’s his.

And then she goes into heat.

He’s lost his heart. But when it comes time to do his duty and choose between family and his luscious little human, can he make the right choice?

Sattar is a full length romance with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers. It can be read as a stand alone, but is best enjoyed as part of this series. If you like feline aliens who are big pussy cats for their ladies, this series is for you.

Ami Wright is a proud history nerd, foodie and tragic fan of trashy reality TV, smutty romance, good wine and too much cake. She loves heroes who burn, pine and (think they're going to) perish for wanting their women, and heroines of every description!

Ami lives in Australia with her partner (who disappointingly is not called Mr Wright) and their two small children. If she ever gets any spare time between writing smut, teaching and mothering, she reads, cooks, watches history documentaries and dreams of the days when international travel becomes a reality again!

I had to give this five stars. I usually don’t like the books to be mostly about spice but the spice it had is my jam soooo I will allow 5 stars! Can’t wait for the next one!

Natlea and Sattar are on the run along with the others. Then they are all on their own as couples. Natlea is suffering from a long distance break up from her fiancee. Sattar is fighting his own insecurities as well.Enjoy

What do they say? Don’t judge a book by it’s cover? Well in this instance it should be don’t judge a pussy cat by his fur or his attitude. I have to admit, I wasn’t really looking forward to this book because Sattar was just such a giant jerk in all the prior books that I personally didn’t think he deserved to have anyone fall in love with him. I was very wrong. There was so much going on underneath his handsome sneer. I had no idea. He just about broke my heart when he was breaking his own. So much of him and what he felt about his own self-worth can be summed up with his comment that without his family’s money and standing in society no one would never want to stay with him. I mean, how sad is that?

This book had a lot more intrigue and angst than the last two. It comes close to a tie with Amir, which also had a ton of emotion and action. I felt the end was a little rushed and unresolved in regards to his mother but I think Ami had to be vague near the end with more books that occur at the same time. She doesn’t want any spoilers I’m sure. I know Jaro is next. We know less about him than any of the others and I’m intrigued to learn more. Eventually we will also get Ikkad’s story which should be entertaining. He’s almost as big a jerk as Sattar seemed and he has Anya with him. She’s not sweet and kind like Nat and I’m sure he’s discovered she’s not a pushover. He’s also already committed to the harem so I’m afraid there will be complications there. I don’t know if Ami has plans for Nyco, Sattar’s cousin. He’s not a guard so he can’t be in the series. I really hope she can do a spin off for him or something though. I just loved him to bits! He has to get a story of his own someday!

All in all this series is Ami’s best. It’s even better than the Lost Romans and that’s saying something. I just adore these cats and their stories and eagerly await the next and the next.

Cat boys exist and they are gladiators!! I mean, they aren’t boys, they are men! But you get it.

Sattar is as tsundere as they get, he fights the feeling but of course a woman will always get to a man’s heart with their cooking ;)

This book is part of a series that is worth reading completely. Each book has information that aids in understanding their universe/world and how Andur (cat people) society works and their biology.

This love story is full of harshness, a misunderstanding soul, and a sweetness that comes once they get their shit together. The characters in this story are different, they add to what is going on around them and let me tell you: the Ardun are sure in the middle of some chaos and these gladiators are somehow caught in the middle of it!

It’s interesting how things turn out and it gives me the urge to know what else is going on with the other gladiators!

I feel this entire series will show a huge shift in the world of Ardun and Humans

Sattar was a fascinating MMC. At first, I wanted to smack him and yell at Natlea to RUN! But as the author peeled away Sattar’s layers and we dove into the story, I started to understand him. I not only warmed up to him, but I was willing to burst into flames for him!

Natlea just got out of a bad relationship and now she has trust issues. She doesn’t need an arrogant kitty cat protector acting like a jerk... But she has somehow gotten paired up with Sattar, so she is going to do her best in this situation. Watching her grow, find her voice, find herself, and accept herself was amazing. By the end of this book, I was over the moon for both of these characters.

Once again, we pick up at the ceremony for the royal guard when they are all tasked with protecting the humans. The underlying arc of “who is responsible for the coup” is further unveiled and we learn more about the who, what, and why. OMG. I was not expecting the twists and turns in this book. Sattar and Natlea’s journey is not going to be easy, but it is totally worth it!

I adored the characters (once I stopped wanting to smack Sattar), the steam was spicy, and the storyline was original and suspenseful. I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this book and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Do I recommend? I sure do! I am loving this series
Will I keep reading? I sure will

Happy reading y’all

From the begining it seems like Sattar is a cold hearted jerk.....maybe he is but all his life he has had to prove himself day after day without any appreciation or affection from his mother or sister. The apple didn't fall from the tree.

Natlea on the other hand is a people pleaser. When all hell breaks loose she and her friends know the gladiators/ Royal guards will protect them. When they go on the run Sattar's heart of stone begins to crack. He goes above and beyond to care for Natlea.

There was definitely an unexpected turn of event leading up to the end of their story which I thought was the perfect conclusion!
