The Something About Darling Collection Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 25 ratings

Welcome to Darling Island - a complete series of heartwarming feel-good, small town stories with romance, community and friendship set in a to-die for British seaside town perched just off the English south coast.

~~~
The funny, heart-breaking and uplifting new trilogy of novels in Polly Babbington’s Darling Island series.
It's time for us to get back to Darling Island where the local time is so very far from care.
Life for Jane Le Romancer is all sorts of small. She goes to work, sits in her office, talks to her laptop, swirls around in a sea of numbers, goes home, talks to her laptop again, has dinner and the next day does the same thing again. Rinse and repeat.
With her only son away and her only friends scattered all over the place, she’s wondering what life is all about. She lives day to day via her online groups, cooking for one, pottering with her garden and receiving one too many visits from the postman.
One morning as she’s sitting in the office after a particularly interesting conversation with her laptop, an online post catches her eye.
House Swapper Wanted.
Come and stay in my gorgeous old mews house on Darling Island and enjoy all the coastal delights in the sweetest little house nestled by the sea. With its floating bridge, vintage Darling Street trams, delightful cosy pubs, gorgeous old fishing boats and secret cafes tucked away down little lanes, while away your days Darling style. Enjoy long walks by the sea, get to experience the blue waters of Darling Island’s bay and lap up the special flora and fauna all around.
Before Jane knows it, she’s swapping her three-storey house in a leafy London street for a tiny little place on an island shrouded in a hazy blue.
Will Jane’s life swap end up opening her eyes to everything that’s been missing in life or will she be wondering what in the world she’s done?
The three Something About Darling Island small town escape to the coast trilogy books.
These THREE books are the second trilogy in Polly Babbington's contemporary romance Darling Island series.
Each trilogy within the series can be read on its own and out of order. (If you would like to read from the very beginning start with book 1 of the Pretty Beach series, The Boat House Pretty Beach.)
In a little white Summer House at the back of the garden, under the shade of a huge old tree, Polly Babbington creates romantic feel-good stories including The Boat House PRETTY BEACH.
Polly loves to read in the cool of lazing in a hammock under an old fruit tree on a summertime morning or cosying up in the Winter under a quilt by the fire.
Polly spends her time in Australia and England and loves to while away the hours in the countryside and by the sea. She writes cosy romance books about women whose life you sometimes wished was yours.
*****
Hi, I’m Polly Babbington and I love to write.
I live with my husband and family in a beautiful old Edwardian house by the sea, with white French windows, a huge old tree out the back and a Summer House right down the end of the garden where I spend long days spinning stories and drinking tea.
I began writing years ago working for various online publications, my work published worldwide and I started writing books not long after, juggling the stories in my head with bringing up my family - there are a few unfinished manuscripts in the deep dark recesses of my computer I can tell you that for sure. ;)
These days I potter around the house writing, normally with a cup of tea and a very large slice of homemade cake in hand, taking care of my family, and plotting my next feel-good romance stories, ready to launch them out into the world to my lovely readers.
I also love flowers, taking photos, cooking, walking in the woods, sitting on the beach, pottering with things in the house and love nothing better after a day of writing than an evening gardening with a drink.
Love Polly xxx
