Once I started to read this story it was very hard to put down and I only did when I had to! This is a book that is totally captivating from start to finish. I love how HT Night took a big part of history and pulled it together in modern times. With Josiah as the main character, his presence is felt on every page. His love of family and friends and his sense of duty to those he protects in his world is always on his mind as he battles to keep them all safe. This is a must read if you are a fan of vampire stories without any glitter sprinkled on them! Read the story and find out who wins when battle of good and evil holding your breath hoping it is good that comes out the victor! This should be added to everyone’s library! Thank you Mr. Night for another wonderful story!

Great book...but I truly detest cliffhangers. If you're gonna tell me a story, tell it and give a resolution. A series is great, but each installment should be a stand alone as well. I am reluctant to buy more, even though the writing is impeccable, because I feel kinda like a fish looking at a very tasty lure. The premise is great, lots of action, but this book by itself is a little two-dimensional with flat characterization. Surely they were more fully developed in a prior installment (s) [this is the 14th of how many installments?] but without the earlier books to read the development did not transition well. I am a bit disappointed.
