An interesting cookbook, maybe containing 50 recipes, it didn’t have pictures but reading the ingredients I DID find some that I could use for my own family and gatherings where people enjoy food! Will gladly try some of them!

Has a few recipes that sound good. I prefer simple foods so I thought this might have something new to try. This has a lot of easy to make, quick meal ideas. I've tried a couple that were good; not great but filling.

What a great cookbook if you want to cook like the Amish do. The ingredients are great and there is one recipe that I tried, "Friendship Bread". If you haven't tried it it's sooo Gooood!!! And it tells you how to make the starter for you to package up in zip lock bags and give it out to other women along with the recipe and let them pass it on to others, that's where the friendship comes in. Buy this book and see what you can make for your next get together or church dinner, or just take something for your Bible study group to Nash on while you all sit around drinking coffee or tea and talk. I did it and my group loves the new recipes I bring to our gatherings before I was laid up with a bad leg.

Close to original Amish recipes but used too many canned products. I prefer the basic fresh ingredients . Great for quick dinners!

I liked the recipes in this book very much. Easy to follow, and ingredients you have on hand mostly. Would recommend to family and friends. The onion fritters were a winner! A must try.

Most are nutritional, some are iffy. However in my opinion a lot of these are not “Amish’ recipes. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to be friends with an Amish family. Amish eat off the land (same as the author says) so they would not eat many of the ingredients in these recipes. Such as “crescent rolls” or “cottage cheese-unless they made it” and none that I knew ate seafood.
